FCA Screening: Fit and Proper Tests

If you are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), you will be fully aware that all employees in an Approved role carrying out one or more controlled functions must be screened for FCA screening, or known as the “Fit and Proper Test”. This, of course, complies with the FCA’s regulatory objectives, which include the reduction of financial crime and the protection of consumers.
Controlled functions include Directors, Non-executive Directors, Chief Executives, Partners, Directors of an unincorporated association and small friendly society functions.
