SIA BS7858 Vetting
The Security Industry Authority, SIA, has created BS7858 to set standards for the control of security companies. As a result and for the protection of the company and users, they need employee vetting to gain and maintain their Approved Contractor Scheme, or ACS, accreditation and security officers need vetting to be SIA licensed and comply with the law if they are involved in any of the following licensed activities: Cash and Valuables in Transit (CVIT), Close Protection (CP), Door Supervision (DS), Public Space Surveillance (CCTV,) Security Guarding (SG), Vehicle Immobilisation (VI), And Key Holding (KH).
